FGFR2(Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 2)는 수용체 티로신 키나아제 계열 단백질로, 혈관신생, 세포분열, 골형성, 근형성, 암 발생, 세포분화 및 손상 후 조직 재생 등 다양한 세포 기능을 조절합니다.
FGFR 계열은 리간드 친화도와 조직 분포에서 차이를 보이며, 여러 질환(암, 류머티즘성 관절염, 당뇨망막병증 등)과 연관되어 있습니다.
FGFR2 유전자의 돌연변이는 Crouzon, Pfeiffer, Apert, Jackson-Weiss, Beare-Stevenson, Saethre-Chotzen 증후군 등 다양한 두개골 조기유합 증후군과 관련이 있습니다.
여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 존재하며, 다양한 이소폼을 생성합니다.
