Product Specific Information
- The same immunogen sequence is found in isoform 1 at amino acids 417–436.
- Suggested positive controls: HL-60 or Jurkat cells, HL-60 whole cell lysate, antigen standard for TNFRSF10B (transient overexpression lysate), Jurkat whole cell lysate.
Target Information
DR5 (Apo2, TRAIL-R2, TRICK2, KILLER) is a death domain-containing receptor for TRAIL that mediates apoptosis induced by TNFSF10/TRAIL/APO-2L.
It belongs to the TNF-receptor superfamily and transduces apoptotic signals through its intracellular death domain.
Studies indicate that FADD, a death domain-containing adaptor protein, is essential for DR5-mediated apoptosis.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms and one non-coding transcript have been identified.
Overexpression of DR5 induces apoptosis and activates NF-κB.
DR5 is expressed in various cell types, especially in lymphocytes and spleen.
Dysfunction is associated with squamous cell carcinoma and diffuse infiltrative lymphocytosis syndrome.
