Target Information

The SLAM (signalling lymphocyte activation molecule) family is a group of receptors on T cells that modulate immune responses.
SLAMF9 (also known as CD2F-10 or CD84 homolog) is a 289 amino acid type I transmembrane protein with 58% identity to the mouse homolog.
It is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic tissues and features:

• Two N-linked glycosylation sites in the extracellular region
• A 20-residue transmembrane region
• A positively charged 30-residue cytoplasmic tail

These structural features suggest SLAMF9 acts as an adhesion molecule and may function as a coreceptor for lymphocyte activation.
