MYO18A는 Golgi 막을 세포골격에 연결하여 소포 발생에 필요한 장력을 제공하며, Golgi 막의 형태 유지 및 막 수송에 관여합니다. 또한 LURAP1 및 CDC42BPA/CDC42BPB와 함께 lamellar actomyosin 역류 흐름을 조절하여 세포 돌출 및 이동에 영향을 미칩니다. 세포 간 접촉에 필요한 기질세포 구조 유지에 관여하며, 대식세포의 선천 면역 수용체의 이동, 발현 및 활성화를 조절합니다. CD14 이동 조절을 통해 대식세포의 염증 반응성을 억제하는 역할을 합니다.
