For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD43 (leukosialin, sialophorin) is a transmembrane mucin-like protein with a high negative charge, expressed on the surface of most hematopoietic cells.
It contributes to a repulsive barrier that interferes with cellular adhesion, but can also promote leukocyte aggregation.
Through interactions with actin-binding proteins ezrin and moesin, CD43 regulates T-cell morphology and cell-cell interactions during lymphocyte traffic.
CD43 signaling enhances LFA-1 adhesiveness and modulates its induction by other receptors.
Expression of CD43 induces the tumor suppressor p53 protein; however, in cases of p53 and ARF deficiency, CD43 promotes tumor proliferation and viability.
Diseases associated with CD43 dysfunction include Wiscott-Aldrich Syndrome and Adenoid Basal Cell Carcinoma.
