Target Information
Myosins are actin-based motor molecules with ATPase activity. Unconventional myosins function in intracellular movements, with divergent tails that bind to membranous compartments moved relative to actin filaments. MYO16 may participate in targeting the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 1 during brain development, activate PI3K, and recruit the WAVE1 complex near PI3K, regulating neuronal morphogenesis.
