Product Specific Information
The 2F1 monoclonal antibody recognizes mouse Killer cell Lectin-like Receptor G1 (KLRG1), also known as Mast cell Function-associated Antigen (MAFA). KLRG1 is a glycosylated homodimer (30–38 kDa) containing a cytoplasmic ITIM-like motif. This antigen is expressed on approximately one-third of mouse NK cells and a subset of T cells. MHC class I molecules regulate KLRG1 expression via Ly49 and SHP-1 signaling.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤0.25 µg/test (in 100 µL volume). Cell count range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize antibody titration for best performance.
Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Violet™ 421 (BV421) emits at 423 nm and is suitable for cytometers with a 405 nm violet laser.
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (e.g., Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant UV™, Super Bright™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Target Information
KLRG1 (Killer cell lectin-like receptor G1, MAFA, 2F1-Ag) is a homodimeric receptor of the lectin-like type 2 transmembrane family containing ITIM motifs that interact with SH2 domains of phosphatases such as SHP-1. It functions as an inhibitory receptor expressed on NK and certain T cells, involved in immune regulation, tumor cell lysis, and antiviral responses.
