GRK6 is a member of the guanine nucleotide-binding protein-coupled receptor kinase subfamily within the serine/threonine protein kinase family. It phosphorylates activated G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) to initiate their deactivation. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for GRK6.
