Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening and selection of optimal clones for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- High specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody shows specificity for Human Tetranectin/CLEC3B.
Target Information
Tetranectin (TN) is a serum and tissue C-type lectin protein that binds calcium ions (Ca++). It exists as a homotrimer, each monomer having a molecular mass of approximately 20 kDa. Plasma or serum concentrations of TN are typically around 10 mg/L.
In vitro, TN binds to kringle 4 of plasminogen and enhances its activation to plasmin, catalyzed by tissue plasminogen activator in the presence of poly-D-lysine. TN is known as a prognostic marker in ovarian cancer.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
