Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytosolic protein containing a phosphotyrosine binding (PTB) domain, which interacts with the cytoplasmic tail of the LDL receptor. Mutations in this gene cause LDL receptor malfunction and lead to autosomal recessive hypercholesterolaemia.
