Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-19 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine belonging to the IL-10 cytokine subfamily. It is preferentially expressed in monocytes and can bind the IL-20 receptor complex, leading to activation of STAT3. In mice, it up-regulates IL-6 and TNF-alpha expression and induces apoptosis, suggesting a role in inflammatory responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
