Target Information
Cytokeratin pan belongs to a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins characterized by biochemical diversity, represented in human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides.
Molecular weight ranges: 40–68 kDa
Isoelectric pH: 4.9–7.8
Human cytokeratins are numbered 1–20. Their expression patterns vary by epithelium type and differentiation stage. Cytokeratin subtype expression assists in distinguishing epithelial malignancies and is widely used in tumor diagnosis, cytopathology, and flow cytometry.
Keratins serve as valuable markers in cancer research and epithelial differentiation studies.
