Target Information
acnB는 짧은 사슬 지방산(SCFA)의 대사에 관여하며, TCA(acetyl degradation route)와 2-methylcitrate cycle I(propionate degradation route)을 통해 작용합니다.
이 효소는 citrate를 cis-aconitate를 거쳐 isocitrate로 가역적으로 이성화시키며, 2-methyl-cis-aconitate의 수화를 촉매하여 (2R,3S)-2-methylisocitrate를 생성합니다.
또한 apo 형태의 AcnB는 RNA 결합 조절 단백질로 작용하여, 산화 스트레스 시 acnB mRNA 3' UTR에 결합해 mRNA 안정성을 높이고 AcnB 합성을 증가시킵니다.
이는 전사 후 양성 자기조절 스위치를 매개하며, sodA 전사체의 안정성을 감소시키는 역할도 합니다.
