Target Information
MAP4K4 (HGK) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in stress-activated MAPK signaling pathways, responding to environmental stress and cytokines such as TNF-alpha.
It acts upstream of the JUN N-terminal pathway and interacts with the SH3 domain of adapter proteins Nck.
HGK binds via its CNH regulatory domain to the N-terminal region of SPG3A.
Expression is ubiquitous across tissues, with isoform 5 abundant in the brain and isoform 4 predominant in liver, skeletal muscle, and placenta.
