Product Specific Information
- Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
- The peptide is homologous with sequences derived from mouse MOR106-3, MOR191-1, MOR106-7, MOR263-6 and rat olfactory 7 (orthologue of MOR263-3).
- Specificity: MOR106-1 (see also the Immunogen).
Target Information
Olfactory receptors interact with odorant molecules in the nose to initiate a neuronal response that triggers the perception of smell. These receptor proteins belong to a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) arising from single coding-exon genes.
Olfactory receptors share a 7-transmembrane domain structure with many neurotransmitter and hormone receptors and are responsible for the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction of odorant signals. The olfactory receptor gene family is the largest in the genome.
The nomenclature assigned to olfactory receptor genes and proteins for this organism is independent of other organisms.
