Target Information
T-cell activation requires a costimulatory signal from receptors such as CD28, which interacts with B7-1 (CD80) and B7-2 (CD86) ligands on antigen-presenting cells. CD28 costimulation induces interleukin-2 (IL2) transcription and stabilizes IL2 through activation of MAPKs (e.g., ERK and JNK) and subsequent AP1 transcription factor formation. DUSP14 acts as a negative regulator of CD28 signaling.
