Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing various reactions. It is widely used in the GST gene fusion system, which enables purification of GST-fusion proteins via their high affinity for glutathione. These fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying direct protein–protein interactions. The GST gene fusion system has been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
