Target Information
The Myb family of transcription factors, including A-, B-, and c-Myb, regulate differentiation, cellular growth, and gene expression.
c-Myb is essential for controlling hematopoietic cell proliferation and differentiation, with levels decreasing upon terminal differentiation.
MYBBP1A (Myb-binding protein 1A) is a nuclear protein localized mainly in nucleoli. It interacts with c-Myb and other transcription factors, including AhR, enhancing AhR-dependent gene expression.
MYBBP1A negatively regulates PPAR gamma coactivator 1 alpha (PGC-1 alpha) through p38 MAPK and functions as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein utilizing both CRM1-dependent and independent export pathways.
