Target Information
WD-repeats are motifs found in many proteins, characterized by a conserved core of 40–60 amino acids forming a propeller-like tertiary structure. Proteins containing WD-repeats are involved in chromatin assembly, cell cycle control, signal transduction, RNA processing, apoptosis, and vesicular trafficking.
WDR68 (also known as DCAF7, HAN11, or WD repeat-containing protein 68) is a 342 amino acid protein belonging to the WD repeat DCAF7 family, containing 4 WD repeats. It localizes to the cytoplasm and nucleus, participates in protein modification and ubiquitination pathways, and interacts directly with Dyrk1A, Dyrk1B, and Dia1. WDR68 plays roles in craniofacial and skin development.
