Servicebio Transfer-Blot Module

Product Introduction

This product can be used with the SVE-2 electrophoresis tank. It uses an electric field to transfer proteins and nucleic acids from the gel after electrophoresis onto a membrane, enabling further biochemical analysis and research.

Product Features

• High transfer efficiency; transfer time approximately 20–40 minutes
• Stable structure and material; can be used with ice bath for synchronous cooling to prevent overheating and ensure reliable results

Operation Process

3.1 Preparation

Prepare 6 sheets of 7×9 cm thin transfer membrane filter paper or 2 sheets of thick filter paper of the same size, and 1 sheet of 7×9 cm PVDF membrane.
Use a 0.45 μm membrane for proteins >20 kDa and a 0.2 μm membrane for proteins <20 kDa.

3.2 Activation

Activate the PVDF membrane with methanol for 2 minutes before use.

3.3 Installation

Arrange the transfer materials in the following order:
‖Positive (+) | Sponge | Filter Paper | Membrane | Gel | Filter Paper | Sponge | Negative (–)‖
Remove air bubbles carefully. The red side is positive; the black side is negative.
Place the transfer clip into the transfer core matching red to red and black to black.
The transfer core can hold two transfer clips simultaneously.

3.4 Power-On Transfer

Connect the electrophoresis apparatus, set the transfer conditions, and start the transfer.

Black: Negative
Red: Positive

Precautions

1. Main components are fragile. Avoid bumping or dropping during packaging, transportation, and use to prevent damage.
2. Inspect metal parts such as platinum wire and electrode columns for oxidation, breakage, or loosening during use and maintenance. Replace or repair as needed. Handle platinum wire carefully as it breaks easily.
