This antibody detects endogenous levels of total GPR132.
Target Information
GPCR G2A is a G-protein–linked receptor for lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC). It may function as a sensor of LPC levels at sites of inflammation, limiting tissue infiltration and autoimmune progression. It also acts at the G2/M checkpoint to delay mitosis and may help T and B cells slow proliferation and repair DNA damage. G2A is highly expressed in macrophages and lymphoid tissues such as spleen and thymus, with weak expression in heart and lung. In atherosclerotic plaques, expression is observed around the lipid core and shoulder region. It is induced by DNA-damaging agents.
