Target Information
FGR is a SRC-related kinase present in hematopoietic cells. It signals in multiple pathways, including integrin and chemokine/cytokine receptor pathways. The protein includes N-terminal myristylation and palmitoylation sites, a PTK domain, and SH2/SH3 domains involved in protein-protein interactions. It localizes to plasma membrane ruffles and functions as a negative regulator of cell migration and adhesion via the beta-2 integrin pathway. Epstein-Barr virus infection can lead to its overexpression.
