Target Information
CHUK (IKK alpha) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in signal transduction and cellular communication. It is part of the cytokine-activated protein complex that regulates the NF-kappa B signaling pathway. IKK alpha, together with IKK beta and the regulatory protein NEMO (IKK gamma), phosphorylates IkB proteins, targeting them for ubiquitin-mediated degradation. It plays key roles in inflammation and cell survival processes.
