Target Information
CDK17 (cyclin Y serine/threonine kinase), also known as cyclin-dependent kinase 17, belongs to the cdc2/cdkx subfamily of kinases. CDK17/cyclin Y shows similarity to a rat protein that may play a role in terminally differentiated neurons. The identification of a large family of cdc2-related kinases suggests possible combinatorial regulation of the cell cycle alongside the expanding family of cyclins.
