• For Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature (RT).
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.

Target Information

RAD51 plays a critical role in homologous strand exchange, a key step in DNA repair through homologous recombination.
It binds to single- and double-stranded DNA and exhibits DNA-dependent ATPase activity.
RAD51 catalyzes the recognition of homology and strand exchange between homologous DNA partners to form a joint molecule between a processed DNA break and the repair template.
It binds to single-stranded DNA in an ATP-dependent manner to form nucleoprotein filaments essential for homology search and strand exchange.
Mutations in the gene can result in breast cancer, mirror movements 2, and Fanconi anemia.
