Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histone proteins, it forms the nucleosome structure. Histones are key regulators of transcription, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
Post-translational modifications of histone H3, such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, influence chromatin structure and gene expression by enabling specific transcription factor binding.
