Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Adiponectin is a protein hormone secreted exclusively by adipocytes that regulates lipid and glucose metabolism. It plays roles in homeostasis and obesity. Decreased adiponectin levels are linked to obesity, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes. In mice, adiponectin enhances insulin signaling and reduces intramyocellular lipid levels through activation of AMP kinase and PPAR-alpha, improving metabolic function.
