Target Information
PTBP1 유전자는 광범위하게 발현되는 heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) 아형에 속합니다. hnRNPs는 RNA 결합 단백질로, heterogeneous nuclear RNA(hnRNA)와 복합체를 형성하여 pre-mRNA 처리 및 mRNA 대사, 수송에 영향을 미칩니다. 일부 hnRNP 단백질은 핵과 세포질 사이를 이동하며, 각 단백질은 고유한 핵산 결합 특성을 가집니다.
이 단백질은 quasi-RNA recognition motif (RRM) 도메인을 네 개 포함하고 있으며, RNA와 결합합니다. 또한 pre-mRNA 스플라이싱에 필요한 intronic polypyrimidine tract에 결합하고, ubiquitin-proteasome 경로를 통해 단백질 분해를 조절합니다. U2 snRNP의 pre-mRNA 결합을 촉진할 수 있으며, 핵질(nucleoplasm)에 위치하고 주핵소체(perinucleolar structure)에서도 검출됩니다.
대체 스플라이싱된 전사체가 다양한 아이소폼을 형성하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
