Target Information
B cell linker protein (BLNK), also known as SLP-65 (Src homology 2 domain-containing leukocyte protein of 65 kDa), is encoded by the BLNK gene located on human chromosome 10.
It functions as an adaptor protein in the B cell receptor (BCR) signaling cascade.
Deficiency of BLNK leads to improper B cell development.
BLNK is phosphorylated by Syk kinase upon BCR activation, providing a scaffold for signaling intermediates such as Vav GEF and Grb2.
