Carboxypeptidase A4 (CPA4)는 carboxypeptidase A/B 하위 패밀리에 속하는 zinc 함유 exopeptidase로, carboxy-terminal 아미노산을 절단하는 효소입니다. 이 단백질은 zymogen 형태로 합성되어 proteolytic cleavage에 의해 활성화되며, histone hyperacetylation 경로에 관여할 수 있습니다. 또한, imprinting 유전자로 알려져 있으며 전립선암의 공격성과 관련된 후보 단백질로 제안됩니다.
