Target Information
Hyaluronidase는 세포외 기질 및 basement membrane에 존재하는 주요 구조 단백질인 hyaluronic acid를 분해합니다. Hyaluronidase family는 염색체 3p21.3과 7q31.3에 두 개의 밀집된 그룹으로 존재하며, SPAM1은 인간 정자 표면 및 내측 acrosomal 막에 위치한 GPI-anchored 효소를 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 난자의 hyaluronic acid-rich cumulus cell layer를 통과하는 데 필요한 hyaluronidase 활성뿐 아니라 hyaluronic acid 유도 세포 신호 및 sperm-zona pellucida 부착에도 관여합니다. 암 조직에서의 비정상 발현은 basement membrane 분해 및 종양 침윤과 전이와 관련이 있습니다. 다양한 isoform을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
