Product Specific Information

This antibody recognizes the N-terminal region of FoxP3, a 47–55 kDa intracellular transcription factor that serves as the master regulator in the development and function of regulatory T cells.

Target Information

FOXP3 (Forkhead box protein 3) is a transcriptional regulator belonging to the forkhead/winged-helix family, essential for immune homeostasis. It is highly expressed in CD25+ CD4+ regulatory T cells, and defects in FOXP3 lead to immune dysregulation syndromes such as IPEX (X-linked autoimmunity-allergic dysregulation). FOXP3 expression can be modulated by p53 in response to DNA damage and is considered a key marker for regulatory T cells.
