Product Specific Information
- This antibody does not react with Baboon or Horse.
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
CD59 (Protectin)은 세포막 공격 복합체(MAC)의 억제제로 작용하는 18–20 kDa 크기의 GPI-결합 단백질입니다.
CD59은 자가 세포를 보체 연쇄반응의 말단 효과 기전으로부터 보호하며, C5b-8 복합체와 결합하여 세포막 내 용혈성 구멍 형성을 억제합니다. 또한 CD2와 저친화성 결합을 통해 T 세포 공동자극 및 림프구 신호 전달에 관여합니다.
CD59 유전자의 돌연변이는 CD59 결핍증을 유발하며, 이는 용혈성 빈혈, 혈전증, 뇌경색과 관련이 있습니다.
CD59에는 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사 변이가 존재합니다.
