Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse ESAM is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
ESAM is a 55-kDa membrane protein composed of two extracellular Ig domains, a single transmembrane domain, and a 120-amino-acid cytoplasmic domain.
It is related to the junctional adhesion molecule (JAM) family and is expressed on endothelial cells and activated platelets.
ESAM at endothelial tight junctions plays a role in regulating vascular permeability in response to agents such as VEGF or extravasating neutrophils.
