Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The NPPB gene encodes a secreted cardiac hormone belonging to the natriuretic peptide family. The protein undergoes two cleavage events—one intracellular and one extracellular—and plays key roles in:
- Natriuresis and diuresis
- Vasorelaxation
- Inhibition of renin and aldosterone secretion
- Cardiovascular homeostasis
Elevated levels of this protein in blood are indicative of heart failure. Mutations have been linked to postmenopausal osteoporosis.
