Target Information
The RNF40 protein contains a RING finger motif involved in protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions. It interacts with the tumor suppressor protein RB1. Studies suggest RNF40 may function as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, facilitating ubiquitination and degradation of syntaxin 1, an essential component of neurotransmitter release machinery.
