Pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A, Insulin-like growth factor binding protein-4 protease, PAPP-A-proMBP complex)는 약 500 kDa의 대형 이종사량체성 당단백질로, 임산부 혈청에서 처음 발견되었습니다.
이 단백질은 두 개의 PAPP-A 소단위체와 두 개의 proMBP 소단위체로 구성되어 있습니다.
임신 초기 모체 혈청 내 PAPP-A 수치가 낮을 경우 다운증후군(Trisomy 21)의 생화학적 선별 마커로 사용됩니다.
