Target Information

MUC1 (Mucin 1, Episialin, MAM-6, CA 15-3, PEM, EMA)은 대부분의 선상 및 관상 상피세포와 일부 조혈세포 계통에서 발현되는 대형 세포막 점액당단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 O-결합 당사슬이 많이 포함된 점액형 외부 도메인을 가지며, 다양한 절단 및 당화 과정을 통해 성숙합니다.
MUC1은 고도로 다형성을 가지며, 반복 서열 수(30–90)에 따라 분자량이 크게 달라집니다.

90%의 유방암 및 전이 조직에서 과발현되며, EGFR(erbB1) 등과의 상호작용이 보고되었습니다.
MUC1 유전자는 7개의 엑손을 포함하며, 다양한 스플라이스 변형체를 생성합니다.
과발현, 비정상적인 세포 내 위치 변화, 당화 패턴 이상은 여러 암종과 관련이 있습니다.
