Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, and the purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
DHRS4 (Dehydrogenase/Reductase 4) reduces all-trans-retinal and 9-cis retinal. It can also catalyze the oxidation of all-trans-retinol with NADP as a co-factor, though with lower efficiency. The enzyme reduces alkyl phenyl ketones and α-dicarbonyl compounds with aromatic rings such as pyrimidine-4-aldehyde, 3-benzoylpyridine, 4-benzoylpyridine, menadione, and 4-hexanoylpyridine. It shows no activity toward aliphatic aldehydes and ketones.
