Invitrogen™ LIVE/DEAD™ BacLight™ Bacterial Viability and Counting Kit (for Flow Cytometry)

The LIVE/DEAD™ BacLight™ Bacterial Viability and Counting Kit enables researchers to reliably distinguish and quantify live and dead bacteria using a flow cytometer, even within mixed bacterial populations.
This kit employs two nucleic acid stains — green-fluorescent SYTO™ 9 dye and red-fluorescent propidium iodide — for viability determination, along with a calibrated suspension of microspheres for accurate sample volume measurement.

Any physiological buffer between pH 7.0–8.0, including PBS, can be used to dilute the SYTO dyes for preparing the staining solution.
