Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the M20 metalloprotease family. The encoded protein is specifically expressed in the brain and functions as a homodimeric dipeptidase known as human carnosinase. This gene contains a trinucleotide (CTG) repeat length polymorphism in its coding region.
