Gene: GPATCH3
GPATCH3 is a protein-coding gene involved in transcriptional regulation. It activates transcription from the CXCR4 promoter and may control neural crest cell migration involved in ocular and craniofacial development. It also acts as a negative regulator of immune antiviral response by down-regulating RIG-I-like receptor signaling and inhibiting type I interferon production. The mechanism involves interaction with mitochondrial MAVS and inhibition of MAVS assembly with downstream proteins such as TBK1 and TRAF6.
