Target Information
YY1 is a ubiquitously distributed transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins. It is involved in both repression and activation of various promoters. YY1 may recruit histone deacetylases and histone acetyltransferases to promoters to modulate gene expression, implicating histone modification in its function.
