Monkeypox Virus A29L은 원숭이두창바이러스(MPXV) 유전체 내에 존재하는 유전자로, Orthopoxvirus 속에 속합니다. 이 속에는 천연두를 일으키는 variola virus와 백신에 사용되는 vaccinia virus가 포함됩니다. A29L 유전자는 바이러스 복제, 조립, 면역 회피 등 다양한 바이러스 생명주기 과정에 관여하는 단백질을 암호화합니다.
