Invitrogen™ ChargeSwitch™ gDNA Mini Tissue Kit
The ChargeSwitch™ gDNA Mini Tissue Kit uses magnetic bead-based technology to enable rapid and efficient isolation of genomic DNA from 10–25 mg of tissue (e.g., mouse tail, spleen, bone, hair) in less than 15 minutes after lysate preparation.

High Quality, High Yield Genomic DNA
This kit purifies genomic DNA from small tissue samples in under 15 minutes following lysis. It employs magnetic beads with a unique ionizable functional group whose affinity for nucleic acids is pH-dependent, allowing purification without hazardous chemicals, centrifugation, or vacuum manifolds.
Yields up to 30 μg of gDNA from 0.5 cm mouse tail tips or approximately 25 mg of tissue. For spleen tissue, reduce tissue size to 10 mg.
Compatible with MagnaRack™ Magnetic Rack
The kit requires a magnetic rack. The recommended MagnaRack™ Magnetic Rack features a magnetic base station and removable tube rack, enabling simple “on the magnet” and “off the magnet” sample processing for up to 12 tubes.
Reliable Downstream Performance
Purified gDNA is suitable for a variety of downstream applications, including:
- PCR
- Restriction enzyme digestion
- Southern blotting
