Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein (33–37 kDa) expressed on mature and most malignant B cells, a subpopulation of T lymphocytes, and follicular dendritic cells.
It regulates transmembrane calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation.
CD20 associates with lipid rafts, and its interaction with BCR (B cell antigen receptor) is dynamic following receptor ligation.
CD20 serves as a key therapeutic target for antibody-mediated B-cell depletion, as it remains on the cell surface after monoclonal antibody treatment.
Diseases associated with CD20 dysfunction include MS4A1-related common variable immune deficiency.
