SWAP70은 585개의 아미노산으로 구성된 pleckstrin-like family의 조절 단백질로, PH 도메인을 통해 phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate에 결합합니다.
이 단백질은 DNA 절단 유도 및 B세포 활성화 신호 전달에 관여하며, tyrosine kinase receptor로부터 RAC으로 신호를 전달하는 guanine nucleotide exchange factor(GEF)로 작용합니다.
또한 actin cytoskeleton 및 세포 돌출 형성과 관련된 membrane ruffling 신호를 매개하며, 대부분의 조직, 성숙한 B세포, 단핵구 및 대식세포에서 널리 발현됩니다.
