Target Information
Fibrinogen is a soluble protein found in blood plasma and is produced by liver cells. It is a hexamer consisting of two sets of disulfide-linked chains. Fibrinogen plays an essential role in blood coagulation as the precursor of fibrin, which is formed by thrombin in the presence of calcium ions.
