Target Information
MAU2 plays an important role in loading the cohesin complex onto DNA. It forms a heterodimeric complex with NIPBL/SCC2, mediating cohesin loading onto chromatin (PubMed:28167679, PubMed:22628566).
It is involved in sister chromatid cohesion and normal progression through prometaphase (PubMed:16802858, PubMed:16682347). [UniProt]
