Target Information
Human follicle stimulating hormone (HuFSH) is a glycoprotein produced from the urine of post-menopausal women with a total molecular mass of approximately 35,500 Da. It is a heterodimeric hormone consisting of a 165 amino acid α-chain (non-active) and a 115 amino acid β-chain (active). HuFSH induces maturation of Graafian follicles in the ovary, promotes germinal cell development in males, and activates cytosolic tyrosine kinase. The hormone is purified using proprietary chromatographic techniques.
